The Pine returns to San Francisco! We haven’t played in the city in quite a while, so we’re stoked to be back after our conspicuous absence. We’re sharing the stage with Weather Underground, The Countless Others, and Icebird. That’s four bands for a mere $5, with the whole thing getting started around 9:30pm on a rock-heavy Saturday night at the Edinburgh Castle up on Geary. You can’t beat that with a stick, now can ya?

That’s right, we’re hitting the skate park over in Alameda for another freebie. This one will feature ourselves plus Superfinos VTO and Bong, and kicks off at the skating-kids-friendly hour of 12 noon. All you have to to is show up, and you’ll see plenty of ollies, some shredding of coping, and good old-fashioned rock and roll, so bring a picnic and make it happen, won’t ya?

Aloha! We have a big weekend of shows coming up in early October, leading off with this in-store at Berkeley’s Rasputin Music. We’re going on around 5pm on a fine Friday afternoon, and it’s free, so you really have no excuse for missing this one. Did I mention that it’s free? We’ll have CDs for sale and maybe some fancy posters too (as soon as Chris learns how to use his fancy new medium-format printer, anyway), so don’t miss it.

This just in: White Pine will be helping out with a last-minute-ish affair at the Uptown. This time around we’re playing with P.A.F (featuring Scott Rosenberg, also of Pink Mountain) and Superfinos VTO. The whole thing kicks off at 9:30pm and will set you back the princely sum of $5. Here’s hoping we see ya there. Note: we’re still not sure about the order yet, but as soon as we get the info, look for it here.

Once again, we’re heading over to Concord. This time, we’ll be at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, taking the stage with Sons of Oswald, Triclops!, and Scorched-Earth Policy. $10 gets you in (according to Sons’ myspace page) and the beer will no doubt get you plenty drunk, so why not come on out? Word has it we’ll be on first; doors at 8pm. While you’re here on the internets, check out Bourbon Street’s crazy myspace page for some serious photo action. Bam!
